Hebrews 11:4 TPT
Faith moved Abel to choose a more acceptable sacrifice to offer God than his brother Cain...
1. Sacrifice is still relevant in the New Testament church, the only thing is that it has been restructured from how it used to be in the Old Testament
2. The scripture is clear about the sacrifices that are acceptable with God in this dispensation. Such is the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of ourselves (the Bible referred to it as a living sacrifice), the sacrifice of our lips and so on.
3. There is power in sacrifice. The Old Testament gives detailed examples of how men have moved God to action by their sacrifice. The truth is that there are some dimensions of life that ordinary human efforts would not access for you; hence you would need to appease to a higher power. One way to appease to this power is by sacrifice. We have the adulterated form of it in the demonic world but the real one is in the kingdom. There is a level of sacrifice you need to put to work to get the attention of heaven. Just believe it, and do your research to find out the one applicable to the situation you're going through.
Yes, I'm a faith teacher, so don't think I'm out of faith. The truth is that sacrifice is part of faith system. Remember, by FAITH, Abel offered up a sacrifice... (Hebrews 11:4)
4. Sacrifices have various levels of acceptance with God. A sacrifice touches God better when it is chosen and carried out as an act of faith. When what you give to God is what you can afford, it is good and acceptable as an offering. However, when you take it further to specifically ask the Father what He wants and you offer it willingly as an act of faith, it becomes MORE acceptable.
I commend you to God.
