In the spirit of thanksgiving, I am dedicating my miles during the month of November to a great cause. I need a little push in getting out of my off-season, and to keep moving as life gets busy this holiday season!
One of my awesome teammates Aubrey Mable & her friend started #100milenovember last year to raise awareness for athletes suffering from anxiety and depression. From this, a NP was formed: AAAD! The goal of AAAD is to raise awareness around anxiety and depression specifically impacting athletes.
Itβs been a while since Iβve put in 100 miles in a month, but Iβve got some extra travel (Ie less Swim & bike time) and I feel strongly about how running and fitness has been key for me in managing my own mental health. I also know that this is a HUGE struggle for many people, and I want to show my supportβ for them and to raise the awareness on mental health. I will be running 100 miles in November for myself, for my family, for friends, and for anyone else impacted. So maybe your heart is tugging at you too and you want to know what you can do?
You could take up the cause & run 100 miles in Nov with me (accountability buddies totally welcome)!
You could donate at https://aaadf.org
You can take a moment to reach out to a friend who you know is suffering and just let them know you love them. Heck you could just be a better person. Smile more. Give compliments. Be a blessing to others. WHO IS IN?!?! So November, bring it on! Challenge accepted. #100milesnovember #pushpastyourlimits
