It means you are able to properly move your body as an entire unit with strength, power, mobility, flexibility and without injury. At least that's the one sentence answer I can give you! Here are 3 basic - yet effective - strength exercises I highly recommend you work into your routine: . .🏋️1. Front squat with barbell - 3 x 16 reps at 45lbs . .🏋️2. Weighted walking lunges - 3-5 x 8 each leg with 20 lbs dumbbells . .🏋️3. The first is leaning too far back and using momentum. The second is sitting too upright and bringing the pulley too low. Instead, you want to retract your scapula, stick your chest up, and pull to around your upper chest while making sure you are pulling with your elbows. I prefer this v-attachment over the standard attachment as I feel the narrower grip targets your lats much better. Focus on not letting the rib cage sag toward the floor. Reach through your left heel to engage the muscles in the back of the leg and your butt. 💞Return to the starting position, placing your hand and knee on the floor. THE ROLE OF PHYSICAL EXERCISE IN INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE - The etiology of IBD likely involves a combination of genetic predisposition and environmental risk factors. Physical training has been suggested to be protective against the onset of IBD, but there are inconsistencies in the findings of the published literature. - Hypertrophy of the mesenteric white adipose tissue (mWAT) is recognized as a characteristic feature of CD, but its importance for the perpetuation of onset of this intestinal disease is unknown. Adipocytes synthesize proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines. - Hypertrophy of mWAT could play a role as a barrier to the inflammatory process, but recent data suggest that deregulation of adipokine secretion is involved in the pathogenesis of CD. Adipocytokines and macrophage mediators perpetuate the intestinal inflammatory process, leading to mucosal ulcerations along the mesenteric border, a typical feature of CD. - Contracting skeletal muscles release biologically active myokines, known to exert the direct anti-inflammatory effects, and inhibit the release of proinflammatory mediators from visceral fat. Further research is required to confirm these observations and establish exercise regimes for IBD patients. - Preliminary studies demonstrate that moderate exercise has no negative health effects and may diminish some symptoms of IBD. So pick a weight that you’ve never done before that you feel confident in doing with that particular exercise and or pick an amount of reps that you’ve never done before and go in until you feel like crying, then go for 9 more reps after that, that’s your workout for today. Are you living a sedentary lifestyle and find yourself 'slouching' often while working at a computer, looking at your phone or walking? - Doing these three shoulder joint movement patterns on a regular basis will help you 'pull your shoulders backwards' and by that significantly improving your posture over time. I didn't include back extensions because two of these exercises involve back extensors as a secondary muscle group by holding a bent over position - The first exercise is bent-over supinated close grip barbell row in form of a shoulder extension movement pattern. Make sure you dont go too wide on the grip here and really focus on retracting your scapulas befor pulling the weight towards youself with your back muscles - Next one's going to be the pendlay rows. A horizontal shoulder abductuon exercise, meaning your arms need to stay perpendicular with your body the entire time. This exercise also requires and improves your lower back strength and engages your hamstrings to a certain extent - but that just adds towards your posture correction goals! - Last ones are going to be pull-downs / pull-ups, a shoulder adduction movement pattern. It's very important to inwardly rotate your scapulae before pulling the rest of the movement - this way you're also extending the mobility of your scapulae and strengthening its rotator muscles. Slow and controlled is the name of the game here - We're living our lifestyle 90% forward these days, so we have to make sure to 'pull our bodies backwards' from time to time so we don't develop back problems as we age Смотреть полностью
