Okay so I woke up at 4 a.m. Monday morning went did some hiit cardio for about an hour then I headed to work worked a 10-hour shift. Got off and went spent time with the family because the next day Tuesday I have to work nights. So I've been up since Monday at 4 a.m. till right now which is almost 24 hours trying to stay awake. I just finished a full body 3.5hour workout I'm whooped I was planning on just doing legs but I figured I had the time to do everything LOL something I don't usually do. So 2hrs 20mins went to lifting and 40 mins of cardio again but I had to stay up what better way than the gym. A few treats here and there are fine, I'm not saying you can't, just don't overdo it 👍 Currently I'm having just over 1600 calories a day, 165g carbs, 46g fats and 145g protein. I've lost 2 pounds in a week, and I am still gaining muscle ✔️✔️✔️ That said, this what works for me. Everyone is different, everyone needs different macros. Balanced eating, work life balance both have been spoken about in excess. The truth is there isn’t a set rule - we all have different views, different lives and different priorities. The one that I’ve been struggling with is the fitness life balance. I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum - consumed by fitness and striving for constant progress, prioritising that above everything else and all about living my life being a ‘typical 20 something’ however, over the last month I’ve tried to find somewhere in between. This balance isn’t easy and it’s ok to go out and have a few drinks, it’s ok to have the pizza in a hungover state the next day. It’s ok to train so hard your legs are shaking trying to walk home 😂🙈 it’s about finding what works for you! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Neither has to define you because babygirl we can do both. It might not be the most efficient way to hit our goals but you’ll be living your best life in between. Here’s a pic of my peachy ass before I started this whole ‘fat loss’ 🍑🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve noticed I’m not really taking the fat loss very seriously, I’m low key just messing around with the food side of things but there are a few goals I aim for each day and week that I make sure to reach to make myself feel good 🎉. I try do HIIT twice a week, drink 3 litres of water a day, and take all my pills (fish oil, magnesium, iron, vitamin c etc). When I need a super quick and easy dessert for my family - they always love a giant gooey baked cookie 😍🍪 ngl so do I 😏 literally whipped this up in record time on Sunday for them - and the whole thing was polished off in MINUETS!!! 🙀 remember eating healthy is all about balance, there’s nothing wrong with having dessert now and again 🍭🍦you wont lose all your progress and it certainly doesn’t mean that you don’t care about your health! Morning all! 🤪 . I’ve woken in a very reflective, positive and motivated mood this morning💡 . Not just motivated to achieve my aesthetic goals for holiday (which in itself is totally ludicrous)... but to achieve holistic happiness☺️ . So often we get caught up in the competitive game of chasing abs and quad separation, yet we forget about reaching optimum strength and maintaining sustainable nutrition💪🏼🍉 . So, maybe I won’t have abs for my next two holidays, but I will have completed 3 out of 4 of my strength goals for this year, followed a progressive training plan, a flexible diet & been happy in the process.... & I think I know what’s more important🤔 . Let’s not be too hard on ourselves. Abs and appearance are not the definition of heath/fitness/strength/ gym goer.💪🏼 . First serious bench session(205x3x5) and let me say using decline bench for the last few months has helped like crazy. Legit the weight was moving so good I know my form needs to be better but this was my first bench session to adjust and next week it’ll look much smoother.
