Liz โข The Blabbing Bibliophile
Coming home to #Bookmail makes my heart happy. As a blogger, it takes a lot of time and effort to read, write, post, share, and promote posts on an individual and weekly basis. I can't speak for every blogger out there, but for me, I do it because I genuinely love books and I love sharing stories so that other people can fall in love with new (and old) novels just as much as I have. I don't do it for praise, freebies, or even profit.
I'll be honest, there's days when I get really discouraged. When I feel I've put my heart and soul into a post that I'm really thrilled about, and then it gets little visit or recognition. Only because I want readers to discover the story I just discussed and then support the author by buying his/her work. I know there's a million and one blogs on the internet, and mine is tiny and not one that necessarily stands out.
It's moments like tonight that remind me to keep going. Even if I'm only reaching 5 people. A publicist was kind enough and thought enough of my writing to get in touch and offer me some books and swag in exchange for review (which I'm happy to do)! It's those little words sent out in a tweet or Facebook comment that kind of remind you, "hey, you're appreciated, and I enjoy your work". I'm just you're average Jo(sephine) who loves her books and will always help the literary community in any way she can. I'm beyond thankful that you think of me and my little blog that could as much as I think of you as authors, publicists, agents, etc. You're awesome!
That being said, keep an eye out for another post in the near future where I'll be giving an identical set of these books away to one lucky reader! I can't wait to tell you more about them!
