The SASSIEST of them all ๐๐ป
#nationalpuppyday ๐ถ ... Life is completely unpredictable and sometimes the eb & flow can bring you heart ache or happiness. In 2009 I lost my mom and my very dear friend Vince Sanchez. Finding a balance with school, work, and everything else was difficult, but there was a light at the end of the tunnel, and it turned out to be a furry friend that I met in 2010.
In honor of Vince Sanchez, I named my new fur-ever friend Vince the Prince. He was my first pup, and so many of you came to like and love him whether it was in person or through photos and videos.
I became vulnerable and was able to love unconditionally again. Though we only had a few short years together, three to be exact; Vince the Prince brought me so much laughter, happiness and great memories.
It's been five years since I had a dog to call my own, but this weekend, the Universe presented a sweet, kind, handsome pup in need of a home. Jason and I met Don Pepe yesterday, and the connection was immediate and evident. Not to mention, there were wayyy too many coincidences that unfolded when we met him.
1.) The owner who was trying to find Don Pepe a new home is named Martha, that's also my mom's name.
2.) The previous owner would call Don Pepe either "Pepino" or "Trash Panda" ... those are the exact nicknames that we call my brother Jason.
3.) When the owner's mother was petting Don Pepe, she had a butterfly ring on, and we came to talk about our love and obsession with butterflies.
4.) He's basically the "Dark Knight" version of Vince the Prince .... Jason and I are so excited to welcome Don Pepe Muรฑoz to our family. He might be small, but he is a mighty blessing and I'm grateful to be his momma now!
