I donât quite understand the controversy over this kneeling thing. These athletes arenât spoiled for using their platform to bring attention to a big issue, racial injustice. And no, racial injustice isnât non existent becuase certain people of color can become rich and powerful. These athletes opinions shouldnât be invalidated becuase they have money; rich people should be allowed to care about things just like everyone else. âWell what about the soldiers? They die for the flagâ! No, they donât die for the flag. They die for this country and they fight to protect the people within it. The people who support the military, the people who stand for the anthem, the people who protect the flag, and those who donât. They fight and die for everyone regardless or race, religion, and political affiliation. They definitely donât fight and die for a fuckin song. And thatâs all the anthem is: a patriotic song. And the flag is just a dyed piece of cloth that represents the country. Free speech and free expression is one of the reasons the soldiers fight, and if you get offended becuase the opinions people express donât align with yours then youâre a hypocrite and a pussy. Oh and to the people whoâre burning their sports merch: burning it doesnât change the fact that you spent money on it, dumbasses. You still gave the team your money. Also, loving your country but wanting things to change isnât the same as hating your country. #based #patriotism #falsepatriotism #nationalanthem #nationalanthemprotest #righttoprotest #conservatism #liberaism #nfl #nba #sports #athletes #americafuckyeah #america #theunitedstates #usa #boycottnfl #boycottnfl2017 #respecttheflag #standfortheanthem #standforouranthem #respectthemilitary #themilitary #thankthemilitary why is the anthem even played at sports games anyway?
