So Iâve been working on a big campaign over the last few months with two very close friends of mine, two incredibly authentic individuals and Bil Bungay founder of BMB agency and Velocity Tech Fund Founder that Iâd love to tell you all about. @bmb.agency
Keith and Stu Xander of Xander and the Peace Pirates @thepeacepirates have released a charity single and an amazing rendition of Princeâs very own âPurple Rainâ to raise awareness for depression, anxiety, male suicide in the UK and more general mental health problems that people may be facing. Theyâve teamed up alongside CALM the mental health charity which stands for âCampaign Against Living Miserablyâ. @calmzone âCampaign Purpleâ encourages musicians, bands, artists, singers, soloists, friends, family, neighbours, everyone... to upload a rendition of their own version of Purple Rain to encourage people to open up and speak about their struggles. They then nominate 3 other people to take part in the Purple Rain challenge! âï¸ The campaign launched yesterday on 11/11 which was an extremely poignant day to remember the fallen but also anybody whoâs lost a loved one or family member to mental health problems.
Itâs 2018... people need to speak up and be open about the challenges that theyâre facing, to treat everybody in a way that they would want to be treated. People arenât walking around displaying their vulnerabilities to others in the outside world, depression doesnât discriminate.
84 males commit suicide every single week in the UK.
Please see below for the links of Keith and Stu portraying their own message through their music and letâs put an end to this craziness.
Please follow the link if youâd like to download the track and show your support and spread the word!
