I’m trying my best people!!! Lol this is my energy packed healthy and a guilty pleasure!! My simple delicious energy balls!! No baking, no cooking. Great for people that are always on the go!!! Give them a try and shout me out!! Ingredients: Raw honey, mini chocolate chips can substitute with (coco nibs) for vegan option! Organic smooth peanut butter and rolled dried oats. I’ve taken pictures with steps, I also use dispenser kitchen gloves and rinse them under water just to make sure there isn’t any powder on them. Then I roll the balls with my hands with the🧤 on. Then I sprinkle with ground cinnamon. You can also add any dried fruit chopped up make sure there is no added sugars to any of the fruit and you can also add chopped nuts... Chicken Noodle Soup 🍜 Tonight I had a request to make this for one of the family’s I cook for. Did I mention I’m a nanny/grocery shopper/meal cooker? Lol “meal cooker”. Lots of the food I post is actually food I cook for families! I get lots of requests to make certain foods and I switch the recipe around to accommodate any dietary needs. One of the things I’ll be talking about on my blog is what kind of food I eat regularly!! I don’t stick to any “diet” as I have struggled very much in the past with restricting myself on things that I love. But once I decided to not restrict and punish myself when I splurge or deter away from my routine- I found that I actually eat better and I’m more likely to abstain from certain foods. I just follow my cravings and eat moderately. I mean im human right!? Sooo this recipe: 1) use some butter, olive oil, ghee (whatever you please) and coat your pot. 2) once the fat is melting or heating up, cut up fresh chicken breast into cubes and add to the pot. Let that cook for 8 minutes. If you want to make this vegetarian friendly- add in some type of beans or tofu 3) add in the carrots/celery mixture and let that cook for 6 minutes - I also like to add chop green onion but most recipes don’t call for that 4) add in oregano, black pepper and minced garlic then pour two (32 oz) container of chicken or vegetable broth 5) I would recommend letting that cook for about 8 minutes before adding pasta. This will give the carrots more time to soften up. Tip: if you want to save on time, you can microwave the chopped carrots before adding into pot and that way you can just add everything once the chicken cooks through. Call to essential insight-oriented action here from @fat_therapist 👊👊👊 • • • This is especially important in areas of health where fat people are more likely to be pathologised within a profession e.g nutrition, dietetics, and psychological therapies (not to say it doesn't happen in other areas). It's essential give space to biases, acknowledge we all have them, go deep, pull them up and reflect upon them. Even I as a fat white straight woman I need to reflect on my own weight biases and privilege in general. Sometimes my internalised weight stigma crops up and I become at risk of projecting it out as a bias. The main thing is that I am open and notice when that happens so I can explore it and ensure it doesn't become a blindspot in my practice. Some questions to consider in reflection are - do I feel the need to help or save fat people? And if so, why? What did I learn about fat people growing up? Have compassion for yourself you may dig up some icky beliefs. If you have grown up in a westernised culture, I'd be very surprised and actually concerned if you didn't find at least some beliefs held about fat people. Let’s talk nuts: Like all plant foods, nuts are a good source of antioxidants and a range of vitamins and minerals. They also have high levels of the healthy fats (mono and polyunsaturated fats) and low levels of the unhealthy fats (saturated fats). . . Nuts are also a good source of fibre and have a low Glycaemic Index (GI) which means they will help keep you fuller for longer. . . Nuts contain around 10 to 20% protein, a similar amount to that found in eggs. So, nuts can be a good source of protein for vegetarians and vegans. . . Plain unsalted nuts are the best choices. Salted nuts are high in sodium, and nuts that are commercially roasted can be high in added fats, cancelling out the positive benefits of including nuts in your diet. Nuts are delicious and tasty on their own, but if you want to try something different, dry roast your nuts at home with a light dusting of spices. . . Because nuts are naturally high in healthy fats, they will add to your energy intake. So, for good health you should eat nuts in moderation. This means about one serve of nuts per day as part of a healthy diet. A serve of nuts is about 1/3 of a cup or 30g. . . Add a little extra crunch to your day! Let’s talk about fats. Do you know the difference between saturated and unsaturated fat? ⠀⠀ Historically they are known as the “bad” (saturated) and “good” (unsaturated) fat, but is it really that simple? 🤔🥑 ⠀⠀ The word "saturated" refers to the number of hydrogen atoms surrounding each carbon atom. The chain of carbon atoms holds as many hydrogen atoms as possible — it's saturated with hydrogens. But is saturated fat bad for you? A diet high in PROCESSED saturated fats (think fried food, packaged foods) can drive up total cholesterol, and tip the balance toward more harmful LDL cholesterol, which is a risk for artery blockages. However, saturated fats from whole foods (think full-fat dairy) does not have such a strong link to these negative risks. ⠀⠀ Do I go for low fat products? Yes, as long as they’re not filled with sugar. This is my reason: “Skim” products tend to be lower in saturated fat, as well as total fat. This then allows me more room in my day to go for other natural type of fats, like: ⠀⠀ ✔️ Extra virgin olive oil ✔️ Avocado ✔️ Nuts & seeds ⠀⠀ So bottom line here is, you can include saturated fat in your diet, so long as it comes from natural sources, but keep it low- less than 10% of your total fat intake is ideal. #Repost @fat_therapist with @get_repost ・・・ This is especially important in areas of health where fat people are more likely to be pathologised within a profession e.g nutrition, dietetics, and psychological therapies (not to say it doesn't happen in other areas). It's essential give space to biases, acknowledge we all have them, go deep, pull them up and reflect upon them. Even I as a fat white straight woman I need to reflect on my own weight biases and privilege in general. Sometimes my internalised weight stigma crops up and I become at risk of projecting it out as a bias. The main thing is that I am open and notice when that happens so I can explore it and ensure it doesn't become a blindspot in my practice. Some questions to consider in reflection are - do I feel the need to help or save fat people? And if so, why? What did I learn about fat people growing up? Have compassion for yourself you may dig up some icky beliefs. If you have grown up in a westernised culture, I'd be very surprised and actually concerned if you didn't find at least some beliefs held about fat people. Na pewno wiecie, że dietetyka to moja pasja 💛 Zdobywanie nowej wiedzy, kształcenie się i uczenie jest absolutnie pasjonujące! I choć biorę udział w wielu szkoleniach, konferencjach i kursach, niewiele z nich tak dużo mi dało jak dwa wykłady u @microbiome_health, czyli Oskara Kaczmarka, człowieka przepełnionego pasją i wiedzą 🙂 Równowaga w jelitach i ich odpowiednie funkcjonowanie, wpływa w głównej mierze na proces chudnięcia. Kiedy u swoich podopiecznych, obok indywidualnie ułożonego jadłospisu, wprowadziłam kurację przywracającą zdrowie jelit, zauważyłam jeszcze lepsze rezultaty. Today’s feels 👊👊 just got the dieticians clinic letter 🙄 she mentioned in clinic thinking Jack was overweight (an Assesment made purely based on charts!) and to be careful of portions, however, at no point did the dietician even ask me what portions sizes he eats, she just asked what his typical meals were and assumed he ate too much 😡 For my own peace of mind I’m throwing it out there, do Jacks portion sizes seem to be too big for an active 3y4m old boy ?? He is above 75th centiles a for both Wright and height and literally doesn’t stop all day. What you see on the pictures is typical of what he gets at breakfast / lunch / dinner; sometimes he eats it all, sometimes he asks for more or for pudding, sometimes he leaves some, sometimes he has a snack between meals, sometimes he doesn’t ... my instinct is telling me I don’t need to change anything, I can see his ribs, he is just a healthy solid active boy with a broad build (like his dad)! The reason could be wrong eating habits. 💛 When it comes to pacifying Kapha, how and when you eat may be just as important as what you eat. You shouldn’t have to go through life without looking the way you want Fat loss is a simple concept of eating less calories than you’re burning. It’s not that easy though. There are a couple things to make it easier. Track your food, take pictures of yourself so you can SEE your progress. Exercise I a great way to burn calories and strength training has huge benefits in promoting fat loss. Don’t get discouraged, it might not happen right away but if you stay consistent, you will get there. Anything worth doing the right way will make you feel great! TOTAL CALORIES Take your goal body weight times 10-12. This will give you a target calorie number. If you have more fat burn choose a lower number. 150x10=1500 calories PROTEIN For protein you want to eat .8-1gram per pound of your goal body weight. 150x.8= 120g protein per day. DON’T GIVE UP Be patient. Focus on the calories and protein and let the rest come in as it needs to and please keep track of what you are eating! After two weeks we can make adjustments, those changes will be pointless if you don’t have a baseline though. Don’t forget, patience and consistency always win. You won’t get there overnight but I promise in 3 months you’ll look back and be happy you started today. You can do it! Diyetisyeniniz bugün ne mi pişirdi??? Domatesli tavuk suyuna şehriye çorba👩🏼‍🍳. Yazdan hazırladığınız domates konservesini rondodan geçirip az zeytinyağı ile pişirin. İçine yarım su bardağı arpa şehriye koyup 5 dk daha pişirin. Sonra kuru nane, 1 su bardağı tavuk suyu, 2 bardak sıcak su ekleyip kısık ateşte arpa şehriyeler iyice yumuşayıncaya kadar pişmeye bırakın. Ve bu kadar basit. Ben tam bir çorba aşığıyım. Diyetisyen olarak da cok sık listelerimde kullanıyorum. Yağ eklemediğiniz takdirde 1 kepçe çorba 1 dilim ekmeğe eşittir. Rainy school days call for gym attire, coffee and a smile on my face to help get me through the day! It’s days like these that I am so thankful for my health and determination because without these two things I have no idea how I would stay sane throughout Stephen and I’s hectic schedule. Time management and planning is KEY to make this happen! You have to have a plan for the week, a plan for what food you are going to eat, a plan for how you will get your workout in, a plan how you will get your hw done and also for how you will arrive everywhere you need to be on time! These are all things I am constantly working on daily because it is not easy to try and fit everything into just one day and also it is not the end of the world if you just can’t seem to fit it all in. We are human and can only do so much 🤷🏻‍♀️ So take a freakin breather, take a few things off your list, do one thing at a time and be proud of what you DO accomplish ❤️

What a brilliant book! After being on a waiting list for 15 months I finally had a dietician appointment yesterday to deal with IBS (including being diary free amongst other restrictions), Diabetes and having PCOS. Seriously folks, I am the least picky person you'll ever meet when it comes to food but have been on a ridiculously limited diet for years. I got some great advice from the dietician, plenty of homework and a follow up in 6 weeks. SO pleased and slightly less hungry 😀
