Whats the secret to a perfect veggie platter? Lots of colours, texture, and a great dipping sauce čĹî
The holidays are upon us, and as much as I love a good cheese plate, there's definitely a place for a good crudite platter as well. You're probably going to have enough high fat treats to gobble down, so how about putting something good in your tummy as well? .
I used a bunch of colour in this platter- red and orange grape tomatoes, heirloom carrots, broccoli, snow peas, red, yellow and orange peppers, and radishes. It makes it look great, but also maximizes the nutritional value on the plate. Paired with a creamy #vegan poppyseed dressing, this platter is an instant hit čĹî
蹼This poppyseed dressing is ridiculously good! It makes a great dipping sauce in this case, but can also be used for salad dressings or on sandwiches. Want the recipe? Check below!
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/4 cup rapeseed oil (extra virgin olive oil works as well)
1/2 shallot, grated
1 tbsp poppy seeds .
1. Using an immersion blender or whisk, combine all ingredients except for the poppy seeds (the immersion blender works faster, and makes a creamer emulsion)
2. Stir in the seeds. Store in the fridge for up to a week. .
