A few months ago, I heard about massaging kale, and I couldn’t stop laughing at the idea of it. But, then I tried it, and now don’t want to eat my kale any other way! 🤣 This is baby kale, but ‘massaging the kale’ really makes it much more tender and takes away some of the bitterness.
How to massage your kale 😂:
👉🏽Sprinkle it with a pinch of salt, and some olive oil (or other oil), then literally massage it with your hands until it starts to wilt. (Don’t massage too much or it will be mushy.)
👉🏽If you’re using regular kale, make sure to remove the stems, and chop up or tear the kale first.
If you’re wondering what’s in my salad, it’s baby kale, EVOO, Balsamic vinegar, green apples, dried figs, cucumbers, and pine nuts.
