Earlier this week, I went grocery shopping for the first time... in two months! During my time away from Melbourne, I have been living the luxurious lifestyle of not having to shop, cook or clean. Whilst there were times when I’d cook for myself simple meals to hack my health, I haven’t been in the process of controlling my diet or keeping the house in order, which I’m usually OCD about.

Strangely, I do miss it... having that responsibility and being present to my experience (which comes with putting effort into something). I can see the energy I invest into some sort of effort create a result... and that is satisfying. More importantly, I appreciate the result more... and THAT is satisfying.

When things happen too quickly, it’s hard to appreciate the tiny steps along the way that create an experience. Doing things slowly can offer greater satisfaction. 💡
