Found a cup nest on the ground, halfway on cement and dirt, likely blown off a rafter. A sweet thing, like one of Bj├Ârn BraunÔÇÖs nests at the Katonah Museum. The artist kept a pair of zebra finches, and proffered items and fibers to them while they were building nests. Apparently, they either accepted or rejected his offerings: red tinsel, plastic bag, coir, dried spaghetti, colored paper, etc. As you can see, they turned into works of art. IÔÇÖm sort of obsessed with them now, and may want a pair of zebra finches so I can ply them with blue things.
