I MADE BAGELS 😍 With 5 ingredients 😍 In 15 minutes 😍 Pretty amazing right?! It’s safe to say this bagel loving mama is OBSESSED!!!
I got the recipe from @skinnytaste snd used my air fryer to make them ( don’t worry, you can use an oven too!! ) The recipe makes 4 and Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel seasoning is pretty much perfection sprinkles on top 👌🏼 You can check out the skinnytaste blog for the oven method or check out the air fryer method I used below.
1 cup flour ( I’ve tried both white and whole wheat and loved both! You can also use GF but they don’t rise as much )
1 cup plain Greek yogurt ( MUST be thick Greek yogurt! )
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp kosher salt
1 egg, beaten
In a bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt and mix well. Add the yogurt and mix with a fork or spatula until well combined, it will look like small crumbles.
Lightly dust flour on a work surface and remove dough from the bowl, knead the dough a few times until dough is tacky, but not sticky, about 20 turns (it should not leave dough on your hand when you pull away).
Divide into 4 equal balls. Roll each ball into 3/4-inch thick ropes and join the ends to form bagels.
Top with egg wash and sprinkle both sides with seasoning of your choice.
Preheat the air fryer 325F degrees and set for 11 to 12 minutes. Transfer in batches without overcrowding and bake 11 to 12 minutes, or until golden. No need to turn. Let cool at least 10 minutes before cutting.
