Have you ever seen a rake hoe? What about a hoe rake? Well you’re looking at one right now (just to be clear I’m talking about the tool, not me, Lol!)! It’s a bit of an odd gardening tool, kind of like a two headed monster of sorts or a gardening tool with an identity crises, but alas they do exist and if you ever want one, just search…you got it “rake hoe”. .
It’s basically a multifunctional tool, it’s the attempt of the gardening tool world to get cute and offer indecisive customers more bang for their buck. Despite its hybrid ways it’s one of our favorite tools! It’s great for loosening up the soil to prepare for planting, using either the hoe or the rake end. You can’t loosen the soil very deep with this, but it loosens the soil enough to welcome a transplant after you’ve dug the hole or to loosen the soil around an established plant to add organic fertilizer. Loose soil offers better drainage and nutrient retention for plants. .
So if you want to have some fun this week, go to Home Depot and say, “excuse me, where are your rake hoes” and look at the expression on the Sales Associate’s face! #tiayonhomestead #blackhomestead #homesteading #homesteadlife #homesteadersofamerica #gardenlife #gardentools #gardentip #growyourfood #andeatittoo #wellbeing #thisiswellbeing4me
