🚨🧠👂🏼OBJECTS IN MIRROR WILL NOT CAUSE HAPPINESS BETWEEN YOUR EARS👂🏼🧠🚨 Hey there my sweet little angel babez! I wanted to pop on here and spit some hard truths. We have all heard that no amount of money, cars, clothes, vacations, makeup, good looks, accomplishments, number on a scale, etc will make you happy AND THATS THE TRUTH. I have been a serial victim of these thoughts and whenever I get the “thing” I’ve been wanting so badly, I am not as fulfilled as I hoped I’d be. Am I happy I lost weight? Yes. Do I feel better physically? Yes. Do I wake up every single day feeling excited and joyful that I lost weight and all my troubles have diminished? No, Absolutely not. Because they haven’t and the thrill of weightloss is gone. I suffer from mental illness which is nothing to be ashamed of, but one of the many masks of my many disorders is relying on the next best thing to make me happy. I often find myself looking at the bigger picture, or next week, or next month, or next vacation, or holiday. Once those days or things arrive, I am less than happy and not as fulfilled as I expected to be. I know that I need to stop this thought process and focus on today. Unfortunately it’s easier said than done. I have to force myself to stay mindful and practice gratitude or I can go to some pretty dark places. Luckily with the help of an amazing therapist and great psychiatrist I am able to recognize my thought patterns and use tools to redirect those thoughts to positive things. Don’t get me wrong, I still struggle quite a bit but am able to pull myself out of it a lot faster. If you feel like a prisoner to your own thoughts, struggle with eating disorders, overeating, addiction, “dark clouds” that rarely let up, or constant fear please seek help. Being alone in dark times is not a good place to be and there is hope for better days. Don’t be ashamed. Cepillar bajo el agua y asegurarse de que no quede tierra.👉🏻Los vas a comer con cáscara entonces tienen que estar bien limpios. ✔️ponelos en una olla con mucha agua y sal y hervilos partiendo de agua fría. ✔️chequea que estén cocidos sin que estén muy blandos!!! Si se te pasan se hace puré y ya no sirve. 👀Tiene que estar cocidos pero firmes! ✔️Cola. Pasa x agua fria. Corta al medio. 👉🏻ADEREZO: en vez de hacerlo a base de mayonesa como la clásica ensalada #argentina de papá y huevo mi sugerencia es :👇🏻. 1) hervir 2 o 3 huevos hasta que estén duros. 2) Picarlos con tenedor bien chiquitito. 3) Suma un chorro de aceite de oliva y jugo de limón. If you’re on track with your eating and training 80% of the time, you can relax and indulge the other 20% and still get great results. It’s not “cheating” it’s living. A lot of fitness stuff you’ll see portrays ripped people eating nothing but pop tarts and energy drinks. There’s nothing wrong with either pop tarts or energy drinks but they’re not the base of a diet to be healthy and lean in the long run. There’s room for the fun stuff, of course. But you want to mainly be eating plenty of veggies, fruits, and protein (animal- or plant-based). Highly bioavailable protein source = eggs, mono- and polyunsaturated essentially fatty acid source from avocado, and fibre source + good dose of micronutrients (including iron) from the wilted spinach. However, there is saturated fats in this dish from the yolk of the eggs and a very very small amount found in the avo. But this amount of #saturatedfat from the avo and egg yolks will not be detrimental to your health in this quantity (it’s nice to be aware of these things though when making informed decisions on what to eat or drink☺️). Topped with balsamic glaze for some sweetness 😋. Side note: This would be the type of dish (amongst dozens of others) that I may recommended to someone who is aiming for weight reduction by way of calorie deficit. I thought it would make me feel restricted but it’s kind of like a game each day hitting your numbers, i’m enjoying it so far & am excited to see what it does for my body. also made it to the gym 6 days & I’m feeling stronger than ever! with that being said, treated myself with chinese & chocolate today because #balance 🍫😛 ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I think the biggest lesson I learned this week was moderation and portion control.. Weigh in completed this morning. To some people this amount of change may not be a lot but I've lost weight but gained so much more that I could not have expected. 6 pounds in 4 weeks is perfectly fine with me as I am not going for speed, I'm going for healthy. I know I've gotten stronger, made new friends and I am happier. So far I've been focusing on things one step at a time. First was working out twice a week (should be increases to 3-4 soon) and then removing sugar and caffeine drinks from my life. I've made this decision to take things slow and develop habits instead of shocking my body with a 100% change all at once. The newest chapter of my journey will be my meals! Ive been taking it easy with food and not putting much focus on it, but not anymore. While I'm not changing them all at once, I am starting with breakfast first. High Quality protein, healthy fats and some natural carbs. I know it’s early, but I’m already thinking about tacos!⠀ ⠀ No for real, we literally just inhaled them for lunch and they were SO good!! ⠀ ⠀ When I mention food prep, this is one of those ‘go to’ recipes. Last week when I made these chicken tacos, I portioned out the meat for my hubby and I and put it in the freezer in mason jars (which by the way is the best container system known to man). Within 8 minutes, the meat was heated up, tortillas warmed and veggies cut and ready to eat! ⠀ ⠀ Don’t they look scrumptious??!! You should try them! Check out the recipe below ⬇️⠀ ⠀ Chicken Tacos⠀ 1 cup low sodium chicken broth⠀ 1 tsp. gelatin⠀ 1 Tbsp. olive oil⠀ 3/4 cup diced onions (approximately 1 medium)⠀ 4 cloves garlic chopped⠀ 1 cup all natural tomato paste ⠀ 1 Tbsp. chili powder ⠀ 1 tsp. oregano ⠀ 2 bay leaves⠀ 2 canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped ⠀ 1 Tbsp. adobo sauce⠀ 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice ⠀ 1 tsp. finely grated lime peep (lime zest)⠀ 3 cups shredded chicken breast⠀ 1/4 tsp. sea salt ( we use Himalayan)⠀ 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper⠀ 8 (6 inch) corn tortillas ⠀ ⠀ Sprinkle gelatin over chicken broth. There’s just SO MUCH that I love about Melinda’s story. ❤️ She didn’t give up on herself ❤️ Her physician connected her with our community and her health coach ❤️ She kicked her fear in the face ❤️ She leaned on her support system in this program when she faced a challenge ❤️ She’s sharing her story and helping others do the same Oh yeah, and she lost some weight, too. Here’s what Melinda shares about her journey👇 "At 46 yrs. of age I found myself at a doctors office with a torn meniscus to my knee. I was 296 lbs. and on meds for high blood pressure and other health issues. The doctor looked at me and said, ‘There is nothing I can do for you. You’re fat and you know what you need to do.’ He left the room and the nurse handed me a prescription for pain meds. I said, ‘I can’t live my life on these! That’s it?’ I left crying and hurt. I found a new doctor and waited 2 months to get an appointment to see him. He was one of the top 10 joint replacement doctors in the country. He changed my life! I was severely obese and needed a knee replacement. He said he would help me. He connected me with a health coach and he told me her weight loss story. ‘Give her a call,’ he told me. I went to my car and cried. I thought.... ‘I can’t do this... I just know I will fail.’ The next day I told myself to just jump in with both feet and see what happens. I made that call to the health coach, I was scared, but after our talk I felt empowered to change my life and knowing I would have a vast support group was everything to me. I started in November of 2017 and lost 94 lbs. A few months later, it was time to have arthroscopic knee surgery. I knew I needed my health coach and support group during this difficult time. I called my heath coach and got back on program. I have recovered from knee surgery now, I’m eating well, and I feel great. I can’t wait to start exercising again. I love my support group. Alright y'all! As i'm loading up new workouts for my online training clients i'll be sharing a few moves with you. Let me know if you plan to try them out during your workouts this week! All great total body & core strengthening moves💪🏽 . I would not consider these appropriate for those with Diastasis Recti UNLESS you can properly engage your core, have no conning or pain. Don't be afraid to try the modified version of these exercises if more of a beginner...you have to build your strength ans challenge yourself . Ensure you're contracting your deep core muscles especially while in the push up & bear crawl postion AND when pushing the weight overhead with the last Leg Lift press move. Do this by exhaling and making a ssss sound while at the same time drawing your pelvic floor UP & your transverse abdominis & multifidi (back) muscles IN. I've shown a few videos on proper deep core muscle engagement on my timeline so find that video & practice that move alone . Push up burpee to OH squat press 3 x 15 .
