Ya que muchos nos preguntaron por DM sobre este tema, hoy trataremos de resolver las dudas que hayan podido tener a lo largo del tiempo. . Bueno, en primer lugar, ¿Qué frutas se pueden consumir luego de las 6pm? La respuesta es simple, TODAS!! 🍎🍐🍌🍉🍓 Todo depende de los requerimientos calóricos y de macronutrientes diarios, no por comer fruta a las 6:01pm ya vamos a reservarla como grasa, no funciona así, ganaremos grasa siempre y cuando tengamos un superávit calórico y perderemos grasa siempre y cuando tengamos un déficit calórico con un correcto reparto de macronutrientes. Una manzana mediana tiene 17 gramos de carbohidratos a las 10am y a las 10pm. Cabe recalcar que no es lo mismo 1kg de plátano que un plátano mediano, también depende de la cantidad que puedas ingerir de acuerdo a tus requerimientos, lo ideal está en comer de 2-3 piezas de frutas al día. De hecho, hay mejores opciones de frutas para definición o ganar masa muscular, ya que son más o menos calóricas. Comparando al plátano y las fresas. 300 gramos de Fresas: 24gr Carbohidratos 100 gramos de Plátano: 21gr Carbohidratos. Los 300gr fresas te saciarán más que 100gr de plátano por el volumen que este tiene. Sólo se trata de controlar las cantidades y de saber elegir según los objetivos estéticos que tengan🙌🏻 Espero hayamos podido resolver su duda😊 . . Macros tracking. Why do I love it? Because it takes the emotion out. It teaches you about the food you’re eating. It gives you a whole new perspective; especially good if you’re anything like me and have had a poor relationship with food. If you have to train ridiculous amounts a day, count every single little gram of food that goes into your mouth and avoid going out and being social with friends and family all for the sake of a goal, than is that really living? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I see women slamming themselves training morning and night, counting every bit of food and liquid they consume, confining themselves to the four walls of their homes or gym all for the sake of six pack abs or their idea of the "perfect" body! Is it really worth it if all your existence is about is food and exercise and in a negative manner at that? I'm not talking about people who compete and do this for a sport (although I do think there can be balance there too), but I'm talking about every day people who want six pack abs because they think it will make them happy and confident. News flash, if you have to do all the above to get there you will have to do all the above to maintain it, how is that living a happy and fulfilling life? Stop "exercising" and "dieting" and start "training" and "eating".. set yourself Health, fitness and performance goals not physical goals! I can guarantee as you start to achieve those goals the physical side will fall into place and you will be far happier with a social life and balance! Stop the crazy fads, stop the goals with unrealistic and unhealthy time frames and listen to "your" body. If you are tired- rest, if you are hungry- eat. Yesterday's leg day was 🔥🔥. This was coming off of two rest days (one planned and one unplanned) and whenever that happens my internal dialogue is essentially, OK KATIE, SMASH THIS CHIT 👊🏻. So here it is 😝: - ▫️Deadlifts (I did sumo) - 4x6 ▫️Hip thrusts - 5x10 (I did a slight pause) ▫️Split squats (front rack) - 4x8 "Burnout" ▫️Kettlebell RDLs -4x20 ▫️ss frog reverse hypers - 4x25 - I actually used a new highest weight of 145 lbs (8 reps) for split squats (out of laziness of putting on 45s so I stacked 25s 😬). Unfortunately vid was trash so I guess it didn't happen 😂 #butmycoreandlegswereonfire. - The (awkward) burnout is probably what's mostly responsible for my sore beeehind today. Oh. Man. Those frog reverse hypers burn like crazy. In no way am I advocating super light weight/bodyweight exercises for maximal gainzz (clearly I think lifting heavy weights will better serve you) but I do often use burnouts at the end because you know, why not use all available tools? #metabolicbuttstressthings. Petite filet, asparagus and baked tomatoes. These tomatoes were seriously the star of the show 😍 I cut the 🍅 in half and scooped out the pulp. I chopped that up into a bowl and added the following: 1/2tb evoo 2tb Parmesan cheese 1/4c whole wheat panko 40g TJ lite mozzarella Oregano, basil, garlic salt *bake for 20 min at 400 Macros for plate: 35P/12C/10F 264 calories. It was a nice side dish instead of potatoes all the time 😁

Friends don’t let friends CrossFit on vegetables. Tag your friends who need this cheat sheet🍍 • You think this is a joke but seriouslyy, welcome to 2018: -pizza is a vegetable 🍕 -kids eat TidePods -sedimentary people (that live in cubicles) love inhaling carbs🍪 -and yet the people spending 2-4 hours in the gym on the daily are afraid of potatoes and rice • … Can we stop the carb-phobia already? • It’s VITAL to understand energy systems in your training modality so that we can properly meet the physical demand of your training. • CrossFit is a GLYCOLYTIC sport (as is Orange Theory, Spin Class, etc) and thus MUST be fueled by CARBOHYDRATES. • Someone that is Bodybuilding may or may not need as many carbohydrates since the exercise modality is a different kind of stress on the body • Weightlifters/powerlifters need for carbohydrates tend to fall somewhere in the middle🏋🏼‍♀️ • Important Things to Note About Carbohydrates? • -Fruit breaks down to FRUCTOSE which is preferentially stored as LIVER glycogen (NOT MUSCLE glycogen — limit to 1-2 servings a day!)🍉 • -We want sources of MUSCLE GLUCOSE for exercise (aka plenty of potatoes, rice, oatmeal, etc) 🍚 • -Carbohydrates are necessarily for optimal thyroid and hormone function. • -We hold onto 3g of WATER for every gram of glycogen we store (so yes, scale may vary depending on our diet and how many carbs we eat. It’s just water weight!) • -Glycogen stores take 24-36 hours to replenish. This means we are always fueling exercise off the day BEFORE, not necessarily the day OF (although day of is certainly important too. If you feel junky) • -The body tends to respond best to gradual increases in carbohydrates (aka don’t go from 150c daily to 300c the next, it probablyy won’t go well) • Not sure how many carbs to eat? Consider hiring a coach (I hear @in3nutrition is pretty raddd😘)

When it comes to eating, I follow the Flexible Dieting approach. . Flexible Dieting is a system where you eat whole foods, but indulge on the finer things in life. 🥃 . One slice of cake won't hurt on celebratory days, granted it meets your caloric goals for the day. 🍰 . This is not to say that you can eat whatever you want (because you'll feel like shit, performance and recovery go out the window, etc)... but you CAN diet flexibly! It's possible! . This system helped me sustain my weight loss and built a healthier relationship with food. . I go out with family and eat "healthy" and well. I do the same on dates! I LOVE trying different foods! 😁 . One tip I leave you with: DO NOT PURCHASE JUNK FOOD AT A GROCERY STORE. Indulge at a nice restaurant. Never leave that shit in your cabinet. . Yesss I love finding new healthy treats. 🙌🏻 I have the biggest sweet tooth ever and can't wait to munch on these tomorrow. Prepped and out of oven in less than 20 minutes -- you can't beat that! . BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES • 1c dry old fashioned oats • 2 tsp cinnamon • 1/4 tsp sea salt • 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed • 1/4c chopped raw walnuts • 1/4c golden raisins (I skipped them) . Combine first 3 ingredients. Then add mashed banana, walnuts and raisins + mix well. Drop by rounded tbsp on pre sprayed cookie sheet to form 16 cookies. Flatten cookies with a spatula and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 14-15 minutes or until firm. . Try them out and let me know what you think!

Never underestimate your body! Also, never stop yourself from enjoying yourself! Live in the moment and embrace every second of every minute. The last 5 days I ate anything and everything I wanted. At first I did feel a little guilty, but I knocked that 💩 off real quick. I allowed myself to enjoy my time with my family 😌 and honestly, I’ve never felt better!
