100KG GLUTE THRUST BABYYY 😆🙌 for 12 reps & 5 second hold at the end!!🤙 . I started glute thrusts for the FIRST TIME in March this year 😭 at 50kg & have worked my way up to my goal of 100kg by adding 2.5-5kg on every session!! . Progressive overload is KEY to building your muscle and I always push myself further each session - YOU CAN DO IT! 👊 . I had no clue what to do at the start either - but watch lots of videos on how to execute this properly & you will be amazed at how strong you will become at it! . KEY TIPS that I use: 1️⃣ Double up a mat to make sure you don’t hurt your hips & it helps you lift heavier! 2️⃣ DEEP BREATHS!! 3 deep breaths before you lift the bar & breathe in deep on the downward part of the rep and breathe out strong pushing the bar up! 3️⃣ Drive through your HEELS! this is making your glutes do more of the work 👍🏼 . Recovery + listening to your body. 🧘‍♂️ _ So after hitting my first few post-break workouts, I have to say: I feel like my body adapted to it! 😂 No for real, after hitting two decently intense sessions, I was so sore and fatigued, that my performance on the 3rd day was, well, let's call it mediocre. 😁 _ However this didn't bother me too much, because it's totally normal that your body needs some time to get back to it's usual performance, especially regarding recovery. So instead of being mad about not progressing, I took the workout a little easier. Not only did this give my body the possibility to recover entirely, it also prevented me from injuring myself due to fatigue-induced bad form. _ Just like in this particular case, listening to your body is very important, no matter what situation you're in. Always remember: We only have on body to live in, so we better take care of it! 😊 _ In the Video you can see my 1st set of 85Kg on 5 reps. ‘The Slow’ is another one of those edgey restaurants that look like they should be better than they are. They do a lot of vegan food so I paid it a visit on my ‘vegan week’ 🙄It is worth the visit but it was a bit too rah for me and the portions weren’t great don’t go hungry! Beh..a me è capitato stamattina 🛏 per questa colazione 🥞 senza precendenti ma che avrà largo seguito! Non posso non dedicarla alla mia fitsister @fit.jade.iifym con cui condivido ogni cosa e che ringrazio di tutto. Sempre ❤️ Siccooooome dalle foto non si notano abbastanza la morbidezza e la scioglievolezza,vi beccherete anche un video 🤪🎥😂 #plumcakeCREMOSO 2️⃣⏺0️⃣ : 🎃 150gr di zucca delica,pesata cruda e poi schiacciata con una forchetta 🍪 20gr di farina d’avena aromatizzata (choco cream cookie) 🍚 30gr di farina di riso 🥛 100ml di latte di avena 🍦 80gr di yogurt greco 🥄 cannella ed un pizzico di lievito vanigliato. Cuocere a 180º per circa 40minuti. Tenere in frigo tutta la notte o qualche ora. GOOOOOOD MORNING 🤗✨. . My post upper bod workout breaky before work 💁🏽‍♀️. . 50g of oats, 250ml of almond milk, 10g of maca powder, 1 tbsp of cinnamon, 30g of choccy protein powder all cooked in a saucepan 👏🏼 until thick and creamy 👏🏼. . All topped with raspberries, banana 🍌 and @bulkpowders_uk cacao nibs, peanut butter and syrup 👩🏽‍🍳. . You guys know oats are ALWAYS my go to. I love them. I would honestly have then for every meal 😂. If you find oats boring i would 100000% recommend trying out different flavour combos and different toppings. I PROMISE you will end up liking them. They are dreamy 😍✨. . ✖️BIENTÔT LA FIN/REPRISE✖️ Hier Aquarium 🐠🦈et balade au port 🚤 de la Rochelle et après demain on rentre de vacances 😭 Je vais pouvoir me re entraîner 🏋🏻‍♀️ correctement tout en faisant attention les premières semaines, ne pas trop forcer, pour éviter de me « re-blesser ».. car finalement je ne sais pas si c’est dû au fait que je ne faisais pas d’étirement (je m’étire maintenant depuis 1mois), que j’ai potentiellement un os du bassin ou une vertèbre de déplacée (RDV osthéo le 1er septembre pour voir ça) OU si c’est vraiment une vraie blessure qui intervient quand je mettrais un stresse trop important sur mon muscle lorsque je m’entraîne (ça serait chiant car quand je m’entraîne c’est pour me donner à 1000%😰). En tout cas après mon entraînement « HIIT » de la semaine dernière j’ai eu des courbatures mais zéro douleurs ! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀(Robe @pimkie je l’adore 😍😍)

Ça donne un mec mega excité dans le rayon céréales, qui acheté pleins de paquets, du lait de soja au chocolat et des flocons d’avoines 😂 . Du coup, on a ici un bol rempli de 5-6 céréales différentes (cocopops, lion, cookies crips...), beaucoup de lait de soja @alpro au chocolat 🍫 et de la Whey chocolat de chez @bulkpowders_fr 😏 . C’était une grosse tuerie 😍

Side note for real though: macro counting is one of the most liberating things in the world 🌎 “If it fits my macros” then I can eat pizza, chips, candy, etc. That doesn’t mean I’m eating all that junk food everyday, but if I get my 135 grams of protein in, as well as hit my fat, carb and micro goals for the day, with leftover calories to spare you better believe I’m eating a few boxes of candy cigarettes 🤣. If I’m going out with friends at night, I’m more cautious of my macros/calorie intake during the day. Not once in almost 2 years have I felt like I was on a “diet.” Not once in almost 2 years have I felt guilty for eating that pizza or candy. I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been (doctor’s words) and I haven’t had to “eat clean” once 🤣 Are you intrigued yet?! . . I’m so thankful @teamfitbliss introduced me to lifting, but MOST thankful to @teamfitbliss for introducing me to this #iifym way of life. From freeing me from my yo yo, binge eating cycle. Freeing me from a life of food restriction and “diets.” Freeing me from my inner voice that used to tell myself I was fat for eating that extra piece of cheesecake. . . Was tracking and weighing my food easy at first? No. But is telling yourself you have to drink only juice and lettuce any easier? Heck no! Tracking is second nature now. TableTalkTuesday. . All things Caffeine. . Now, I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks coffee is LIFE, but did you know how much it can benefit your training performance? . ☕️ Well, here’s how: *Caffeine causes euphoria and stimulation, and aids mental focus. *It blocks Adenosine,a chemical that creates tiredness, which means we feel less fatigued. *As it lowers our perceived exertion and pain, we are able to push ‘harder’ in the gym. *Our metabolic adrenaline is also increased, and more free fatty acids are used for fuel. More glycogen is spared, and we can perform for longer. *It improves muscular contractions and training performance. This means we can perform more reps at a given load, increasing training volume for an improvement in strength. More strength=More muscle. *It increases our overall energy expenditure. We burn and extra 50 calories a day per 300mg of caffeine we have- That’s 350 calories a week! . ☕️ How much should we have? We need 4-6mg of caffeine per kg of body weight to see benefits for performance. . This means a typical 120 pound woman would need around 200mg caffeine (the same as in most pre-workouts and caffeine pills). A Starbucks Grande Americano has 225mg and would do the job ☕️. . However, we do have individual levels of tolerance, so should assess our own needs and take only what we need to feel stimulated. . It’s also important to set a limit to our intake- As women, we don’t really want to be having much more than 400mg a day. . ☕️ When should we have it? . Around 45 minutes pre training is the most beneficial, as that’s how long it takes for caffeine to take effect. . If we train later in the day, we should really consider whether having caffeine is a good idea. The amount in our system only half’s every 4-6 hours, so having too late in the day could effect sleep. . ☕️ Do we need a caffeine ‘detox’? As our caffeine tolerance increases over time, its a good idea to take breaks. I reccomend taking 3-7 days off every 1-2 months, to re-sensitise. . See, not only is it true that coffee does, in fact, give me life every morning, it can also help us progress towards our strength and physique goals. What’s not to love? ❤️☕️

Maybe instead of calling it “bulking season” I can call it improvement season 🤔 One of the areas I will be improving are my shoulders, more specifically my side delts and using different variations of side lateral raises will help me. This is one variation where I am using dumbbells but I am seated instead of standing and using lighter weight compared to heavier weight.
