“It was a tough time. They weren’t winning, they traded Chris Pronger, and
you go ‘where is this going?’ Then I said, ‘enough of that.’ People turn on their TV after a tough day at work or after their own troubles in life and they sit down and want to watch a hockey game. They want to enjoy themselves. I can’t do anything about the on-ice product. But I can try and start the night off with some fun, some entertainment, hopefully a few laughs, and maybe at least a smile. And it’s gone on from there.” @gene.principe
