🖤My Inpatient Story🖤
This is a really important post for me. Please read until the end🌸
As you may know, I have been inpatient 7 times. For a total of more than a year of being locked up in a room.
In 2017, january, I was first admited to the mental health ward of my city for anorexia. My weight was extremly low, as my vital sign. I was dying.
There, I refused to eat or drink. I was in a really bad state. After two days of not eating and barely drinking, they said they would but a ng tube if I didnt eat. Gosh, I didnt want this! So I ate. Very little tho!😔Not enough to gain.
But that's not the point.
Being IP was torture.
Rules on my ward:
-You're not allowed to leave your room. -You're not allowed to your clothes.
-You're not allowed to talk to the other patient.
-You have 30 minutes to eat your meal and 15 for snack.
-You have max 30 minutes to shower, dry your hair and all. (If you take 31 minutes youre punished, really)
-You can't have your phone or call anyone.
-You're not allowed to have visitor, not even familly.
-You don't have access to books, sheet of paper, pencil, or anything. Only YOU AND YOUR BED.
So yeah, on my first time there I stayed 4 weeks. 4 weeks without talking to anyone except the nurses and doctors. Not seeying my parents and being alone in my room, crying.
I've been there 7 times. 7 times I let my ED win and ive been admitted. Never again. Today i was so scared it might happen again. You understand why now?🖤
Dont let your ED ruin your life like I did! Fight! Eat! Don't be scared because nothing can hurt you more than your ED!💪
You can ask me question about this in the comment or on sarahah! I answer to everything!🖤
