Sir Richard Branson says as social entrepreneurs “We are stimulated by the desire to ensure business has a purpose beyond profit, also focusing upon people and the planet.” This is why I do what I do. I love having the financial freedom to contribute to causes that aligned with this vision. I love that my business offers the opportunity for self-empowerment.
Rennie, a busy lawyer, wife, and mother, started her business with our company to fund a therapy dog for her son. She was hopeful (but unsure) to be able to hit this goal in a year, as it was an expense that was outside their means.
Well, she did it! Look at his smile! And I can tell you, from my friend Lea who coached her to success, that this is more than achieving a goal and helping her son. Rennie and those who helped her and cheered her on are buoyed by this too. In confidence, in belief, in enthusiasm, in joy.
The above is just one example of the impact this business can make beyond our own selves and own families. Maybe you roll your eyes at what I do. But when I look at the impact my organization has had in the past 3+ years, I feel like a proud mama: -Raising funds and donations for battered women's shelters, homeless shelters, hunger programs, youth empowerment programs, anti-human trafficking orgs, etc
-Child and family sponsorship
-Financing safe water and sanitation throughout the world
-Financing support and asylum for refugees
-And so much more
When you land in a company where your founding doctors and CEOs create a movement to EMPOWER, to do good, make an impact, dream big, and seize the day, you KNOW you are in the right place. What I do is so much more than representing the #1 skincare brand.
This is an opportunity to change lives.
