So a few weeks ago, my daughter and I happened upon the personal scrapbooks of a mother and daughter at the antique store in Allen, Texas. Being the genealogy hound and mystery lover that I am, we bought them for $10 each.
The mother was born in 1920, the daughter in the 1944. There are photos and letters. There are achievement ribbons and report cards. Someone let all of these memories end up at an estate sale to be sold.
I’ve searched for family members but have gotten no replies. I made a research family tree to see what I can find, and 2 people who i believe to be descendants of Mary’s brothers haven’t responded.
Someone MUST want these beautiful memories...so I’m putting it out into the virtual universe to give it one last shot.
1920-1994 Mary Elizabeth Martin (married Hicks, Marr) of Houston
1944-2015 Dinah Lee Hicks (adopted Marr, married Rust, Shoemaker) of Houston, died in Denton County
1923-1949 Clinton Lee Hicks of Wichita Falls, died in Collin County
1922-2002 Johnnie Bob Martin (brother of Mary) of Houston
1925-2000 Lewis Warren Martin Jr. (brother of Mary) of Houston
