This variation of a Quadruped Shoulder Rhythmic Stabilization is an effective way to drive rotator cuff activation and thus a great rehab/prehab drill we like to utilize especially with any of our overhead athletes. Keep in mind the true function of rotator cuff is to stabilize the humeral head on the glenoid fossa (keep the golf ball on the tee). With this movement make sure the individual keeps the ball on the wall by continually reaching their arm through the ball.
