Kinda. Yet, often not. There are many ways to create stress. Load is one (barbell), yet positional demand is another. The thruster performed with kettlebells or dumbbells will challenge position, enhance mobility, and add a level of unilateral loading that makes it much more challenging than its barbell cousin where the pattern is grooved and naturally balanced.// Cobi, MJ, and the 8am PSC.
