so... i spent my sunday night playing with crayons to scare the monday syndrome away, listening to her majesty my queen Aretha. suddenly i decided to give this sketch a try to make a bookmark out of it. (because going to sleep before 3am on a sunday night means surrendering to monday and i shall not give up, not this day.) anyway, this is what it turned out to be. i know i should have photographed this bookmark with a “drawing basics: perspective” book, but i don’t have it (as you clearly can see) and thought this naive drawing would best fit a children’s book. so, there you are, an antique dictionary for juniors, which belonged to my grandmother when she was in mid school in the late 30’s. i also added a poem she copied to the first page with her beautiful handwriting. and the last pic of course is a salute to freshly sharpened pencils. ✏️✏️🤓🤓 oh, and please excuse the high contrast, i had to use a desk lamp. . . .
