▪️Training & Biological Age▪️ . Sometimes people are confused as to how they should proceed with training based on their current age. Surely our age must dictate what we should do in the gym, right? However, it is more important to consider how old you are in “training years” when designing your program. . The amount of experience we have in the gym will dictate the correct dose for the big training variables. Two 30 year old males with different numbers of years in the gym will have different training needs. So rather than looking at total age, look for the number of years of dedicated training experience. . Now there are a couple instances where biological age can be a factor. Adolescents and older adults are likely going to be impacted by their age in training. But outside of this, always look to training age as the guiding factor.

Entretanto, segundo a revisão de Abe et al., (2012) as adaptações do treinamento de força com restrição/oclusão do fluxo sanguíneo ocorrem não somente nos músculos ocluídos mas também nos músculos não ocluídos. Os autores sugerem que os principias mecanismos causadores de tais resultados são: (I) o aumento da ativação dos músculos não ocluídos devido à fadiga dos músculos ocluídos e (II) a resposta sistêmica dos hormônios liberados no treinamento com restrição/oclusão do fluxo sanguíneo (principalmente o GH). ______ The strength training with blood flow restriction/occlusion requires the use of an equipment (sphygmomanometer, kaatsu, elastic band) in the proximal portion of the limbs. Overhead lunges with a barbell require a ton of core stability, flexibility and strength. Not that I’m a big fan of abs exercises, actually they bore me, but it has to be done at some point. usually I include two exercises every workout day, that way i don’t feel it. But today I done a circuit of 4 exercises, 3 rounds, you can go up to 4 if you feel motivated and have more time. - Standing cable machine side to side crunches 15reps. - Resistance ball cable crunches 15 reps. - Standing regular crunches 15 reps. - Hanging leg raises. 8 to 10 reps. Meet one of my hero's Lynnett Gardner. This lady lives a clean active lifestyle, lifting shiz heavy weight (like this 145lb deadlift) prepping her meals, doing cardio on off days, and keeping up on her supplements. I have so so many reasons to highlight Lynnett but the one I want to focus on is her relationship and mindset with nutrition and fitness. Lynnett battles diabetes and as anyone in the fight knows, it makes fat loss difficult as you are battling keeping your sugars regulated. In the last year Lynnett has really worked on her mindfulness around food and exercise. Changing mindsets and habits from macro and calorie counting to eating clean whole foods that work with her body and mind. And guess what? I often get asked how I stay so motivated. And I’ll be honest I don’t always. Sometimes the gym is the last thing I want to do, especially with weather like today! ☔️ . The best advice I can give you to stay motivated is: 🔸do something you love - if you love what you’re doing then it’s easy to find the motivation to go! 🔸 create habits - good habits are just as hard to break as bad, make the gym part of your daily routine and if you don’t go it’ll feel odd. 🔸 grab a workout buddy! I find if I’m really struggling to find the motivation I text one of my girls and book into a class. Working out together gives you the motivation to go and to push yourself that much harder! 🙃

Even though the weather has been crap (weatherman got it wrong...again 😒), and my socks and shoes got completely soaked from all the rain, it’s been a damn productive day! ___ It’s easy to let the weather dictate your actions, but when you have goals to achieve, you can’t let the weather get the better of you every/most times! Sometimes, you just have to suck it up and do what you had initially planned for the day. ___ Training makes up a small part when it comes to fat loss. Focus more on adhering to your nutrition goals and ramping up the daily activity by moving more. If you have an office job, take a break every 30-40 minutes and walk around the office, or to the bathroom, or the refreshments area. ___ P.S. Praticantes, clínicos e pesquisadores precisam manter uma compreensão das alegações versus as evidências subjacentes a cada arquetipo para orientar adequadamente os objetivos práticos e educacionais baseados na ciência com clientes, pacientes e o público (ISSN, 2017). I’m back at it! And still loving my #performbetter #minibands This is a great way to add some resistance to your single leg work! Keep the core tight and try to maintain your torso posture through the movement. Also try to keep the hips squared up and not allow the moving leg to rotate outwards. Your knee and toes should be facing the ground. This will really help your glute work through the exercise 👍 Don’t let your shoulders round throughout the exercise. Keep some engagement going in between your shoulder blades. Focus on moving, as if your hip is a door hinge, and your body, from head to toe is one unit. Some people will try to drop the torso AND THEN lift the leg, but this can make it harder to balance and you aren’t going to get the best benefits from the exercise. Work on balance and moving as one unit! When you go to the gym with unbrushed hair pulled into a pony tail and you haven't even looked at your face, that's ok, 'cos it's not meant to be glamourous, is it? But when it's 3pm and you've been painting all day and you really need to cram a training session in, sometimes you just have to down tools and go, whatever state you're in! So I started the session already looking like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards and whilst checking my legs for paint smears, the gym owner comes over & chats about beauty treatments offered across the road. Nice talking to you @angelacarolpt but I was thinking the whole time what a dog I must look 🐶😂 Day 3 Glutes, Hamstrings & Calves done 💪 & home to finish the last bit of painting before taking Charlie to MMA. Mad rush & managed to stick the paint roller on my hair just before I left the house 🙄 Now standing at the back of the class, with paint stained hands & white streaks in my hair.
