Even though I consider myself to be pro-life, abortion is acceptable if the mother may die or the girl was raped etc but contrary to popular belief it is a small percent of what consists of US abortions. What I disagree with when it comes to abortion is people killing a fetus because they dont want to take responsibility. A fetus is not PART of a woman's body, its IN a woman's body, but they still should get a choice whether to take on a child in certain situations. I want women to know that despite what they are told, they have more options than abortion if they dont want a child. You can give them up for adoption and it wont be your problem. A lot of women arent told that having an abortion is extremely psychologically damaging on a mother and affects their health too.
However, even though I think abortion is distasteful, I also think this comparison is completely idiotic and not comparable by any means. The difference here is how they were killed. Fetuses feel all the pain of an abortion after some point but the way Hitler killed people was worse. He tortured them a lot before he killed them. They were starved, overworked, gassed, thrown into fires, shot and thrown into a ditch, often raped, beaten to death or beaten in general as they all desperately fought for survival. Inmates would even turn to cannibalism because they were so desperate. They would run miles on miles when being transferred to different places and would be trampled or shot if they stopped in any conditions, were given very little clothes to protect from the weather and other awful things. Babies, like theyre concerned about here, were thrown into fires (Elie Wiesel's book details how he saw a truck dumping infants into a pit of fire) and were thrown in the air and shot as a twisted target practice. They lived in fear constantly and tried to hide from being taken but unfortunately a lot were. I cant even explain all the horrors here, but you get the point that this is not at all comparable.
