SQUATS -Your fitness companion
#TransformationSundays: Shivani Arya, mom of a toddler, lost 15 kg,dropped a couple of inches and gained oodles of confidence after she enrolled herself under a SQUATS coach. Read her inspiring transformation story.
I am a 32 yr old mother of a toddler and a working professional. My weight not only came down from 86 kg s to 71 kg in 12 weeks, it also made me confident and strong not only physically but emotionally and mentally.
So, my brother Vivek always said “Di don’t hide your facial features under this layer of fat” and my friends use to say “hum tujhe kabhi patla dekehengey" and these didn't affect me at all.
Finally, my siblings added me in the.SQUATS group. I stalked the group for 1 month. I was reluctant to enroll because I thought I will have to starve and eat a bland diet. Then one fine day, without telling anyone I asked my friend that to inquire about SQUATS and find out how it works. I decided to enroll under a coach after I spoke to him.
I was very excited when I saw my diet plan because it had rice, paneer, veggies , oats and I was allowed to have Maggie masala! So after 6 yrs of my marriage I cooked food for myself. I was someone who hated cooking but now I prepare all of my meals myself. My mentor followed up with me regularly he was very flexible in terms of diet if I wanted something in my diet he somehow use to add and substitute something.
With disciplined eating this is what happened to me
Weight dropped from 86 kg to 71 kg
Dress size from Xxl to large
Elastic jeggings to buttoned jeans
Kurta to dresses
From being a camera phobic person to camera loving
From being follower to a leader in weight loss
From seeking advice on weight loss to advising people on weight loss
From people calling how many kids you have to you don’t look like you are married
From my friends teasing me to asking me how I did it!
This is what squats did to me and I think this is the most wonderful thing to happen. It has changed my life upside down. I am thrilled that I lost 15 kg in 12 weeks, I still have a long way to go to reach my goals and I'll continue my journey.
