Matcha-glazed donuts anyone? 🍩🤤 . Summer days got me thinking about making them at the cottage with my Grandma when I was a kid... and how I'd always promptly jump in the lake after with the most full belly. It was the best thing ever. 👩‍🍳💛 . This recipe makes DIY donut making seem no more complicated than whipping up batch of cookies or cupcakes. . Have you ever made your own donuts from scratch? . Let me know if you make these so I can invite myself over. 😉 #Repost @tastegem ・・・ No such thing as too much MATCHA - especially when we’re talking about #vegan donuts! 🍵🍩😝 They’re not only amazingly fluffy and super pretty but also give you an extra energizing boost! 💚 . . —•—Ingredients—•— 1 cup (128g) flour (I used spelt but you can sub with regular flour) ¼ cup (50g) coconut sugar 1 Tbsp (7g) matcha powder 1 tsp (3g) baking powder ½ tsp (1.5g) baking soda pinch of salt ¾ cup (177ml) plant milk (I used almond milk) 1 tsp apple cider vinegar 2 Tbsp (30ml) maple syrup 2.5 Tbsp (35ml) coconut oil, melted ½ tsp vanilla extract . 
Matcha Glaze: 1 cup (225g) powdered sugar ¼ tsp matcha powder 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp almond milk . —•—Method—•— 1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and slightly grease a donut pan. 2.Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Combine the wet ingredients in a separate bowl and mix together. Pour the wet into the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula until just combined (don't over mix). 3.Spoon the batter into 6 donuts molds until ⅔ full and even out as much as possible on the top. Place in the oven and bake for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack for cooling. 4.For the glaze, add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk together until smooth. Dip the top of each donut into the glaze and place on the wire rack for cooling. I had a great time by myself the other night at this really nice wine bar.🍷 • I’m learning that life is about adjusting and doing it with a positive mindset! I’m moving into a different season of life mainly because my husband is being deployed really soon. I’ll need to find ways to cope with things for sure. 😢 ✨A few adjustments to help me through this new season: •More fasting. Time with Jesus before dawn and a few other things I’ll be giving up to focus more. ✨🙏🏽 •1-2 social events a month! I’m so used to living in “Lala land” ❤️🌍 with Dan so I’ll have to get reacclumated to socializing with others and not keeping to myself. •Of course I’ll compete a few more times this year. #bikinibotbre 👙🤖 My mind and body are both programmed and really focused at this point. Plus, I obviously have all the time in the word to travel and compete #yeahright ✈️🥇 •I signed up for a few cooking classes. Cooking is my outlet! I’m excited to perfect my craft.👩🏽‍🍳 •I’ll be joining a local running club that meets on Wednesday! At least I’ll have strong legs when Dan returns 😂 🏃🏽‍♀️ •I plan to finish up my other recipe e books and see some of my other ideas to fruition. 🍴📚 •Travel. Travel. Travel. (Thank God I have family and friends all over✈️) •Lastly, Dan suggested learning to do something new! I found a really cool Mauy Thai gym so I’m interested to see how this goes! BBQ Lentil Tacos are the #meatlessmonday meal you didn't know you needed. This recipe comes courtesy of Earthbound customer Brianna Lynn (@foodforgoodnesssake ), who's all about whole, plant-based foods. These tacos offer a hint of sweetness from the pineapple and spice from the bbq sauce. Try them for yourself: •1/2 cup dry lentils •1/2 cup wild rice mix •2 1/2 cups of water •1/4 slice of a lime •corn tortillas •purple cabbage, sliced •mixed organic greens •fresh pineapple, chopped •fresh jalapeño •spicy BBQ sauce •fresh cilantro •spices: garlic powder, salt, pepper In a saucepan, add the wild rice and 1 1/2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, then cover with a lid. In a separate saucepan, add the lentils and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer until the water is absorbed. Mix the wild rice and lentils into on pan, then add the spices and lime juice (to taste). Warm the corn tortillas on a skillet or in the microwave, then layer with organic mixed greens (our organic spinach would work well here too), purple cabbage, lentil mix, pineapple, jalapeños, cilantro, and BBQ sauce. 🌮🌮🌮 Enjoy! Tofu "Meatballs" with Turmeric Sauce by @vegaliciously with a rich that's packed full of flavour! Try this recipe below 🤤 INGREDIENTS TURMERIC SAUCE: •2 carrots •2 garlics •3 tbsp condensed tomato •3 tsp turmeric powder •salt and pepper •6 dl vegetable broth •2 dl soya cream •coconut oil INGREDIENTS TOFU BALLS: •600g tofu •2 carrots •2 garlics •a parsley bunch •150g breadcrumbs •100g flour •salt and pepper •coconut oil METHOD: 1. For the sauce, finely chop onion, garlic and carrots. Grease a pan with coconut oil and fry the ingredients until golden. 2. Add condensed tomato, turmeric, broth and mix until lumps smooth out. Let it simmer for an hour and a half adding water from time to time. 3. Put the sauce in a mixer and blend until it reaches a creamy consistency. 4. Pour the sauce into the pot previously used, add the soy cream and simmer for another 15 minutes. 5. For the tofu balls, using your hands grind the tofu. 6. Finely chop carrots, onions, garlic and a parsley bunch and add to the tofu. Mix the mass, adjust salt and pepper, and add the breadcrumbs. 7. Using your hands, mix the mass to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Moisten your hands before forming every tofu ball. 8. Once all the balls have been formed, mash them with flour. Grease a frying pan with coconut oil and fry them until golden. 9. Once cooked, dip them and cover them with turmeric sauce. Hands down, this is the best curry I have ever made and as I throw stuff in the pan without paying attention, now I’m scared I can’t do it again 😱 Roughly: Fried some eggplant chunks in raised oil with salt and mushrooms, then added sliced onions and some potatoes chunks. When all was getting fried and smelt like heaven, I added half a can of coconut milk and yellow curry paste. Left it cook for another 10/15mn and voila!! Homemade Mixed Vegetable Pakora with Mint Chutney 🌿 ⁣ ⁣ My family went NUTS for these Baked Bhajji Fritters from @veganricha ! My dad said that these were the best pakora he’s ever had. That’s high praise because it’s one of his favorite foods and he’s eaten them all over the city at Indian restaurants! 😍⁣ ⁣ The photo above is of a double batch. I love that this recipe is made with wholesome whole foods including chickpea flour, cauliflower, carrots, potato, onion, ginger, fresh mint, and fresh coriander (all gluten-free). To keep things on the healthier side I used 1/2 the oil that the recipe called for and didn’t brush with oil, which was fine because they browned nicely when I baked them!👌🏽I also didn’t have Chaat Masala, so I used Garam Masala + Black Salt. I did a quick search of the ingredients in Chaat Masala and this was the closest spice blend I could get with what I had on hand! What is your favorite condiment⁉️ I’m honestly not much of a sauce person, but I used to LOVE honey mustard with my chicken nugs (from Chickfila of course) when I was growing up. . . I was super excited when @sirkensingtons sent over some sauces to try, and this honey mustard is by far my fave!!! Yes, I eat 95% plant based, but I have no issues adding honey in, so this condiment is here to stay! . 🌱PLANT BASED BOWL DEETS: . • Spinach base (always) . • Sweet potato fries: 40min @ 400° in the oven . • Green beans: 35min @ 400° (flip em) . • Tofu: press out liquid, soak in coconut aminos, and air fry @ 390° for 12-15min . • Honey mustard for dipping from @sirkensingtons Смотреть полностью

The raspberries give it a fresh, tangy flavour and the rose extract gives it a flavour similar to Turkish delight. The tartness of the raspberries create the perfect contrast with the sweet and aromatic rose extract. . . . . Ingredients: Base: -260g plain flour -5 tbsp icing sugar -800g vegan butter -1/2 tsp salt -3 tbsp sunflower oil -4 tbsp cold water . Filling: -300ml water -3 tbsp agar agar powder -150g caster sugar -juice of 2 lemons (60ml) -100g pureed raspberries -3 tbsp corn flour -60g coconut cream -1 tsp rose extract . . . . . Method: Crust: Place all of the pastry ingredients into a large bowl & mix together until the ingredients start to clump together.  Knead the ingredients with your hands for a few mins until a smooth dough has formed. Cover dough with cling film & place in fridge for 10 mins. . . Preheat oven to 180c. Sprinkle some flour onto a clean surface & use a rolling pin to roll the pastry to create a medium disc. Gently lift away & place in an 8 inch Tart Tin. Press the edges down & prick the crust with a fork, place a disk of baking paper on the crust base & cover with baking beans to stop it from rising. Bake for 20 mins or until golden. . . . Filling: Place water & agar agar into a large pot.  Boil gently on a medium heat, whisking continually until the agar has dissolved. Add the sugar to the liquid & boil for 3 mins until the sugar has dissolved. . -In a large bowl, mix corn flour, rose extract, coconut cream & lemon juice until a paste has formed.  Add this mixture to the agar liquid & whisk together for 5 mins until the liquid thickens. . . Soul food 🥰 One of my favourite things about winter (and let’s be real, there ain’t that many) is that it’s perfectly okay to sit over brunch for 4 hours in a snuggly cafe with some of your dearest friends. 🥰 Like, “oh it’s awful outside, I can’t do any of the things I would do on a sunny day... I know, let’s go get food!” 😂 And that’s totally okay by me! 💁‍♀️ I think that we need to go with the seasons a little bit. Spend time outdoors and active in the warmer months, in winter spend a bit more time on yourself and do things that are good for the soul. If we let the weather get us down - it definitely can. But if we look at all the other things we can do with this weather (like catch up with friends, have bulk hot chocolates and soup, snuggle in a blanket and read books - just to name a few) soon enough we’re out the other side and Summer is rolling back around! ☺️🙌 What are some things you’ve been loving about winter this year? ❄️ Смотреть полностью

Save this recipe for later😍 RECIPE Base: 1 cup oats 1/3 cup cacao powder 1/4 cup desiccated coconut 1 cup soft dates (I used bukari) Filling: 1 cup cashews, soaked 4-6 hours 1 cup mango soy yogurt 1/4 cup maple syrup 1/4 cup coconut butter/oil, melted 1/2 cup mango (fresh or frozen) 1/8 tsp vanilla powder Topping: 3-4 passionfruits . METHOD 1. Place the oats, cacao powder and coconut into a blender or food processor and pulse until crumbly. Add in the dates and blend until you have a sticky yet crumbly dough. 2. Line a square brownie tin with parchment paper and transfer the base into the bottom. Press down evenly and set aside. 3. Place all the filling ingredients into your high-speed blender and blend for 30-40 seconds until completely smooth. Pour over the base and even out with a spatula 4. Look at this gorgeous green soup, loaded with vitamins, fibre and minerals from The Awesome Green. Broccoli detox soup: Serves: 2 Ingredients 2 cups broccoli florets 2 celery stalks, finely diced 1 onion, finely diced 2 garlic cloves, crushed 1 cup greens (kale, spinach, beet greens or any other available) 1 parsnip, peeled and finely chopped 1 carrot, peeled and finely chopped 2 cups filtered water or low sodium vegetable broth ½ tsp sea salt ½ lemon, juice only 1 tsp coconut oil 1 tbsp chia seeds Toasted mixed seeds and nuts, 1 teaspoon coconut milk, to garnish Instructions  In a soup pot, heat the coconut oil, add the onion, garlic, carrot, parsnip, celery sticks and broccoli, and cook over low heat for five minutes, stirring frequently. Add the filtered water or vegetable broth, bring to a boil, then cover the pot with a lid and let simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender but not mushy. Stir in the greens, then transfer into the blender, add the chia seeds and lemon, and process to obtain a smooth cream. Ingredients: (For the potato wedges) 5 large russet potatoes washed and cut into wedges Salt to taste Pepper to taste 1 1/2 tsp tumeric 2 tsp paprika 1 tbsp red pepper chili flakes One teaspoon dried oregano (For the avocado chickpea dip) One ripe avocado One can of chickpeas Salt and pepper to taste 1 tsp of minced basil, plus more to top 1 tbsp lemon juice Directions: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a large pan or use a nonstick pan and set to the side.put all of your wedge potatoes on to the pan sprinkle seasoning and lather with hands. Once the oven is preheated place your potatoes in the oven for about 40 to 45 minutes, keep in mind at the 25 to 30 mark you should flip your potatoes to make sure that they can even cook and they don't burn. Then for the avocado chickpea dip, match one avocado and your chickpeas in a bowl with a fork or pulse in a food processor, then add in lemon and basil stir to combine season with your spices see if you need any more than that asked measurements top with salt pepper and fresh basil for visual appearance. Then take your potato wedges out of the oven once cooked place in a nice bowl with your avocado chickpea dip and eat for a healthy vegan movie night snack. Sweet potato pizza crust by @elavegan. Who wants a slice or two? 😋 Get the recipe below: . Ingredients 235 g (1 cup) mashed sweet potato 120 g (3/4 cup) white rice flour 40 g (1/3 cup) tapioca flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt Instructions 1.Peel and chop one medium sweet potato into chunks (about 3 cm) and boil it in a pot with water for about 10 minutes or until fork tender. Discard the water and mash the sweet potato with a potato masher (I used the same pot). You'll need 1 cup (235 g) of mashed sweet potato for this recipe. 2.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Add rice flour, tapioca flour, baking powder + salt and mix with a spoon. 3.Once the mixture cooled down a little bit, use your hands to knead the pizza dough into a ball. If the dough is too dry, add a tiny bit of water or oil. If it's too sticky, add more rice flour. 4. Place the pizza dough onto a sheet of parchment paper and add a second sheet of parchment paper on top. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough into your preferred shape (about 0.7-1 cm thick). 5. Remove the top parchment paper (don't throw it away, you will need it again) and transfer the rolled out pizza dough (including the bottom sheet of parchment paper) onto a baking sheet. Bake the pizza dough in the oven for about 10 minutes. 6. Meanwhile, you can prepare your pizza toppings! After 10 minutes, remove the pizza dough from the oven. Add the second parchment paper on top, and carefully flip the pizza dough over. Please don't burn your fingers! If the crust is too hot, simply wait a few minutes. Now, peel back the hot parchment paper. 7. Place your favorite toppings onto the sweet potato crust and return the pizza to the oven for about 10 to 18 minutes. If you just add a few toppings like vegan cheese and olives (for example) the pizza will be ready much faster than if you add lots of different veggies. 8. Enjoy your delicious pizza! Салат с печёной свеклой Мы - это то что мы едим. Поэтому побольше овощей в рационе никогда не помешает. Очень захотелось сегодня салатик из свёклы приготовить. Ну не винегрет же вам выкладывать. Его и так все готовить умеют. Хотя можно будет как-нибудь от тоски замутить парочку приёмчиков, типа соуса из горчицы и яблочка и приготовить. Ну да это после. Сегодня свёклу печём и сохраняем её полезные свойства. Саша попросил сильно красиво не готовить, потому что он тогда ест больше! 🤣 Так что я фотку сделала и всё обратно в салатник замешала 😉 Хитрая я 🦊 4 свеклы, 100 гр гречки, 50 гр шпината, 5-6 шампиньонов, 1/2 красной луковицы, 2 зубчика чеснока, 50 гр фундука, пучок петрушки, 1 ч л сушеного розмарина, 2 ст л оливкового масла, 2 ст л бальзамического уксуса, морская соль, перец по вкусу. Свеклу очистить и нарезать ломтиками. Размолоть в ступке розмарин с солью. Положить свёклу в глубокую миску, добавить 1 ст л оливкового масла, 1 ст л бальзамического уксуса, половину смеси из розмарина и соли, перец. Всё перемешать и выложить на выстланный пергаментом противень. Запекать в разогретой до 200 градусов духовке 40 минут. Чеснок очистить и мелко нарезать. Обжарить на растительном масле, добавить очищенные и нарезанные шампиньоны, жарить около 5 минут. Добавить в грибы оставшуюся розмариновую смесь, перец и 1 ст л бальзамического уксуса. Снять сковороду с огня и добавить мелко нарезанный шпинат. Перемешать. Отварить гречку до готовности, немного остудить. Соединить грибы и гречку, добавить нарезанную петрушку, очищенный и нарезанный лук, перемешать. Смешать со свеклой. Перед подачей посыпать крупно измельчённым фундуком, украсить зеленью.
