ELIMINATED! Team Penske's Ryan Blaney and Brad Keselowski, Kyle Larson of Chip Ganassi, and Hendrick driver Alex Bowman, the drivers under the cutoff that we mentioned earlier were in danger of elimination, have been eliminated from the playoffs. Ending their championship contention 4 races early. All 4 drivers were in pretty much a must-win scenario in order to advance, as pointing their way in seemed impossible with the resilience of close-to-the cutline drivers Clint Boywer, Kurt Busch, Martin Tried Jr, who all advanced to the final 8 after yesterdays race in Kansas. Though the eliminated had very good races, all finishing in the top-10. The best being Larson, who started 39th in a less updated back-up car, finishing 3rd and in race win contention. Brad Keselowski finshed 6th, with teammate Blaney following in 7th. Blaney had a particular good race, running most of it up front in 2nd to 4th, and even moved above the cut line, but fell back after late race troubles. Bowman rounds it out with a 9th after running close to the top and midpack all race. A shame really, as all 4 drivers presented much potential going into the playoffs, with Keselowski and Larson being predicted by many as legitimate challengers to make the final 4 and even win the championship. Brad Keselowski especially after he scored 3 wins in row going into playoffs. Don't be too sad though, as something tells us these four drivers will put up quite the fight in these remaining 4 races. To win, end their season strong, and most importantly, spoil the race for the playoff drivers! Starting next week at Martinsville!
