Here is the side view of Bryan's 64 inch Tajikistan giant. This ram has 15 inch bases but carries his weight exceptionally well. He is 10.5 years of age which is exceptionally old for a marco polo ram. Midway down his left horn, you can see how fighting and weather aging has cracked and damaged his horn. He likely would have died after the rut as younger rams gang up and blind side him, wearing him down and possibly injuring him going into the heart of winter. His teeth were also heavily worn. It's rare to have an animal of this size and age, with so evenly matched and unbroken horns.
Our first view of this ram was from the rear as he raised his head while bedded, it made everyone in our hunting group gasp at his size and grandeur. He was originally in a group of 9 rams; there were many 55 to 59 inch rams in the group but he was clearly the largest monarch.
Please note we can accommodate two hunters in jan or feb 2018, in this same camp and area. The price is 39k for a polo/ibex combo, there are extra trophy fees for rams over 60 inches. Typically, 1 out of every 6 to 8 rams shot here are over 60 inches. 90 percent are 55 inch or larger. This area requires walking and solid shooting skills.
