a continuation post of โ€œprocessed snacksโ€ The other day, while at the gym, I was lifting weights right in front of the snack machine. I look up and see Doritos, Poptarts, Candy.. that is the worst thing to have in a gym and eat post workout. I mean maybe, for some people that works? But I couldnโ€™t tell you how they do it. Hereโ€™s where I stumbled across @healthyme_living who 100% agrees with me and thatโ€™s how her story began. She created a healthy vending machine as well as subscription boxes. Hereโ€™s a cute one she threw together- I absolutely LOVE the packaging and the snacks in it! - I already had one of the bars ๐Ÿ˜ @paleo_ranch Looking forward to trying more!! Thanks Christy!!

upon request: โ€œhealthy prepackaged snack ideasโ€ I love this question because snacking is the best โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‹ A few essentials to keep with you throughout the day: - walnuts, sunflower seeds, cranberries (some sort of trail mix works ๐Ÿค—) - try @seapointfarms edamame! - a @healthwarrior bar! (i also love RX and Go Macro!) - @epicbar is just as good too! I love the venison! - granola with chia seeds (@mammachia ) - hummus, veggies, and fruit is definitely another go to! because 47% of you voted for it- I decided to throw it on the insta anyways ๐Ÿ˜Š so this ones called โ€œlunch time on campusโ€ Today, I went to what my campus calls the โ€œC storeโ€ and picked up the little hummus packs (removed the pretzels because Iโ€™m allergic), gathered left over veggies from the other day, an apple, some booch for my gut, and a @healthwarrior bar ๐Ÿ˜‹Keeping it light and simple, as usual! & onto some more bottles of water ๐Ÿ’ฆ Hope this helps provide you with an idea of what you can throw together! My biggest tip is to mix and match things and look at ingredients!! letโ€™s talk abbbb weights ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿผ something I used to fear but turned it around to absolutely loving it (especially because it means I donโ€™t have to run as often- by choice) I believe lifting weights does both. Both making me get stronger AND making me realize what my body can do ๐Ÿ™ƒ Physical and mental benefits- I love it. If youโ€™re balancing a healthy diet and lifting weights I guarantee you wonโ€™t get โ€œbulkyโ€ and if you did think that, it is okay! At one point, I myself thought the same exact thing, and here I am today killing a back workout ๐Ÿ˜› Plus someone once told me: if you have big lats, your waist will most likely appear smaller, plus youโ€™ll just look fit and strong in gen๐Ÿ™ƒ so get out there and break away from the comfort zone!! Todayโ€™s workout: Amrap wide wide grip pull-ups 3x10 โ€œlawn mowerโ€ left knee left hand on bench- pull up with right arm, switch (idk the real name lol) 3x10 reverse grip lat pulldowns 3x10 cable row 3x10 seated reverse flys Amrap Ab Burnout: LRC sit ups Knee to chest Plank x2 Stretch!

feeling plain this morning so I grabbed a bowl of oats, two hard boiled eggs, and an apple from the dining hall ๐Ÿ˜Œ ๐Ÿฅ„ last night I made the decision to set a 6am alarm and get my ๐Ÿ‘ out of bed for leg day- so happy about it too. sweat it out this morning, a great way to start the day, hopped in the shower and felt SO refreshed ๐Ÿ˜› brb devouring my food bc lifting makes me superrrr hungry- I love it ๐Ÿ˜‰

feeling warm and cozy, the food is freshly baked, and chatter is echoing through the house. post hike around the yard with jake calls for a relaxing, family evening. snacking on my favorite cheeses, a variety of crackers, and some salami ๐Ÿ˜› grandma made a delicious anti pasta salad, manicotti, and meatballs and more family is on the way! ps those beautiful cannolis were filled by talented jake and I, canโ€™t wait to indulge in those post dinner ๐Ÿ˜‹

yesterday's adventure to the salmon river: woke up at 3:45 am, hopped in the car, and set off on our trip. I was astonished by the view (sunrise in last photo) and the fact that I was in the middle of a river, where people from across the US travel to. Had an amazing Friday on this journey with Jake & Andrew, couldnโ€™t have asked for a better day! did I mention we brought back some salmon? ๐Ÿด

HINT: I'm branching out & its @cedarsfoods ) I learned a new lesson today: maybe I can't control the stress and anxiety I feel before taking an exam- yes I felt this today, badly too- but hey, I immediately caught in, stepped back, packed my books away and thought on the positive side. I'm prepared, I'm confident, take a deep breath, text a friend, grab food, and collect your thoughts. What's the worse that can happen? sometimes all you need is lake time and a little adventure โ˜บ๏ธ spent the night at the lake, cozied up with blankets and enjoyed a block of havarti cheese and @bluediamond flax crackers with jake ๐Ÿ˜‹ took a breakfast trip to his grandmas, walked around the neighborhood, met friendly pups, and now enjoying some October weather all bundled up on the kayak! ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿƒ ๐ŸŽƒ 30 days until Jake's birthday and I CANNOT wait to celebrate with him ๐Ÿ™Š
