Overdue for I white ass photo? I think yes! ..Maui 2017..
One of the most thrilling hikes I've done.
Trekking up a river, waist deep for 2 hour climbing several waterfalls all before you reach the cave entrance. One last waterfall to scale before you enter into complete darkness. Everything is telling you not to enter but you strap your head lamp on anyway and start swimming away from the light. Not knowing any facts on the cave system other then people have died in there because of flash flooding makes it so much more exciting. Inside the chambers we climbed what seemed like endless waterfalls and swam across so many body's of water, bats flying over our heads who knows what's swimming under us. Only seeing what the head lamp allows you to. When you finally see the first glimps of light at the end of the tunnel it's some what relieving even know you're psyched to be on such a epic adventure. Climbing out the small hole, everything is so bright and you are greeted by nothing else then the slice of heaven in the picture. Deep in the jungle and not seeing anyone for the whole day means all is coming off.
