โ€œFrom the passenger seat, Ronan began to swear at Adam. It was a long, involved swear, using every forbidden word possible, often in compound-word form. As Adam stared at his lap, penitent, he mused that there was something musical about Ronan when he swore, a careful and loving precision to the way he fit the words together, a black-painted poetry. It was far less hateful sounding than when he didnโ€™t swear. Ronan finished with, โ€œFor the love of โ€ฆ Parrish, take some care, this is not your motherโ€™s 1971 Honda Civic.โ€ Adam lifted his head and said, โ€œThey didnโ€™t start making the Civic until โ€™73.โ€โ€ Maggie Stiefvater, The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒธ Good Evening Bookworms!!! I donโ€™t have too much to say today other than I enjoyed reading The Cruel Prince last month. I gave it 4.5 stars. I loved it until the end where there is a huge cliche and basically everything going on with the main male character is infuriating. But other than that, I freaking loved this book!! . . . . I am obsessed with antihero characters, or just dark characters. Jude in the Cruel Prince is everything! I couldnโ€™t love her, but she was extremely interesting. Good Afternoon Bookworms!! I know this will sound crazy, but I thought I would hate Harry Potter! I was about 12 years old and had finished reading all of Rick Riordanโ€™s works. I wanted something like his novels and the librarians would not stop persisting that I read Harry Potter. I hated the idea, but I eventually gave in. It turned out that I loved it! โ€œEven broken in spirit as he is, no one can feel more deeply than he does the beauties of nature. The starry sky, the sea, and every sight afforded by these wonderful regions, seems still to have the power of elevating his soul from earth. Such a man has a double existence: he may suffer misery, and be overwhelmed by disappointments; yet, when he has retired into himself, he will be like a celestial spirit that has a halo around him, within whose circle no grief or folly ventures.โ€ Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, Frankenstein ๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ–๐ŸŒ—๐ŸŒ˜๐ŸŒ‘๐ŸŒ’๐ŸŒ“๐ŸŒ”๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ–๐ŸŒ—๐ŸŒ˜๐ŸŒ‘๐ŸŒ’๐ŸŒ“๐ŸŒ” Good Evening Bookworms! I am currently reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelly and Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda! I will put update and thoughts about those on my story. ๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ” The Raven Mocker Review: So, I loved this book. Iโ€™m just going to jump right into my thoughts Writing: I really liked Isradโ€™s writing in the first book, but in the second, I found myself enjoying it even more. It has a great use of vocals and rhythm. The flow between sentences is what I really enjoyed. Overall, I really recommend the book for her writing. Characters: So in the first review, I stated that I was very surprised and joyful to find some diversity in the characters. In book two, I fell in love with the relationships between the characters as they built and expanded. I was not disappointed. Also, with the better connections between characters, I found myself laughing out loud a lot more๐Ÿ˜ Plot: I loved how a lot of the things that happened in the first half of the book all fell in place towards the end. I love that satisfying โ€˜you have all the pieces to the puzzle and they fit perfectlyโ€™ kind of thing. It made my fave Harry Potter book be The Prisoner of Azkaban and out of the two first books in the Jessup series, The Raven Mocker. I was very happy to the development and relationships deepen. The story surprised me constantly. Please read this series! It deserves more credit! You can also find this review on my Goodreads!
