Hella proud of you. Your confidence has gradually (but observably) grown over the past 18 months. Cleans above 90 lbs had you shook only a year ago. Dubbs stressed you. Strict pullups, kipping pullups, strict HSPU, strict ring dips, pushups, toes to bar. All of it. Now you're hitting 115 lb cleans under fatigue in metcons with no failed attempts, and doing 75 unbroken double unders at a time. You're doing gymnastics WODs Rx. Best part is, it's not as though these tasks are suddenly no longer daunting; it is that you are more self-determined, more self-aware, & more self-confident in your desire & capacity to do those things which still make you nervous. It is not fearlessness that has evolved in you; it is courage and self-belief in the face of immense challenges. How ill is that. It is one of the dopest things I have been a part of. You deserve all the PRs you hit these past couple weeks. You grind, you are consistent, and you put up with the challenges of having a coach husband. You keep me inspired. Haven't done ring muscle ups in about 9 months and it shows. Flutter kicks, incomplete hip extension, early knee flexion. Shoulder mobility restrictions still preclude optimal arch in the kip. Grinding at my fundamentals. This is the first time in life I can repeatedly kick up into a handstand instead of a headstand and have it be mostly pain free. My shoulder & T-spine mobility will never be elite--my unstacked position in lockout with shoulders closer to wall than my hips means I still support a disproportionate amount of my bodyweight with my lumbar spine instead of my thoracic spine, rendering me less stable & more inefficient than I could be--but being able to practice kicking up to handstands and doing deficit strict handstand pushups is major progress for me as an athlete. My pressing strength has improved a ton as well.
