I am an average athlete at best. This time last year I couldn't string together much more than 5 or 6 🦋 pullups. Today I hit 32 unbroken reps, followed by 20. Test Week lit af.
CrossFit has regular ass people setting specific, definable, demanding goals for self-improvement under the ostensible rubric of fitness. A steady cavalcade of new technical skills to acquire, muscular strength & stamina to build, and cardiovascular endurance to improve means there is no point of arrival at perfection; only the infinite pursuit of better.
With great coaches, rational progressive programming design, & a supportive athlete community culture, the potential for self-learning & self-understanding along the cyclical road of learning, practicing, training, failing, & succeeding is limitless.
We out here. Building better, more humble, more self-aware, more confident, more empathetic athletes. To be able to call myself a coach everyday is an honor. I want to coach, teach, and support people through tough stuff for as long as I can be a valuable asset to them.
